Virginia, the country's #1 team, ousted the men's tennis team from the NCAA tournament with a 4-0 victory on Friday in Charlottesville, Va. Virginia ran its record to 30-0 on the year while the Mids ended 2009 play with an 18-8 overall mark. With the win the Virginia advanced to face, and beat, North Carolina on Saturday. "Virginia is the top-ranked team in the country for a reason, and they demonstrated that today," Navy head coach John Officer told navysports.com. "They serve very, very well and play great defense. It it hard to break their serve."
