The Mids (17-23-1, 7-9) posted double-digits in both games against UMES (11-32) this week while capturing two wins from their in-state rival.  The wins moved Navy closer to the .500 mark and saw freshman third baseman Josh Moore respond when inserted into the lineup by belting four hits and driving in four over two games.  As importantly, they gained momentum going into a crucial four-game series against the Holy Cross Crusaders (18-22, 8-6) in Worcester, MA.  Navy will need to play well against the Crusaders and perhaps get help from some would-be Patriot League rivals to qualify for the four-team field

Action begins at 3 pm Saturday at Fitton Field with the first game of a doubleheader.  Sunday will see a second twinbill beginning at 1 pm.
