This morning, Good Morning America did a segment on The Bachelorette, following up on US Weekly’s allegations that Ed Swiderski had been cheating on Jillian Harris during the taping of the show and even after the proposal. .jpg)
So who was he cheating with? Allegedly, two different women! Before The Bachelorette began filming, Swiderski was dating Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson. At the time, both women thought they were Swiderski’s exclusive girlfriend.
Johnson, whom Good Morning America interviewed for their segment, said that Ed had told her that he was going on The Bachelorette as a joke. Lindsey received various emails from Ed throughout the taping of the show. One message even went as far as to say, “Hopefully they’ll get me home tomorrow.”
Remember when Ed took a little hiatus from The Bachelorette? He claimed to be leaving the show because he was afraid of losing his job. Well, Lindsay said that he really went home to continue their relationship. There are even photographs of Lindsay and Ed at a wedding together the weekend after he abandoned Jillian. Anybody else smell a rat?
Bethany Steffan also claimed to have slept with Ed during his time off from the show, and she additionally admits to having emailed with him throughout the filming.
When Ed romantically returned to Jillian, claiming he couldn’t be without her, he had told both Lindsey and Bethany that he was going out of town on a business trip. They had no idea that he’d gone back to compete for Jillian.
So what does Jillian think of all of this? On Good Morning America, after referring to the rumors as “nonsense,” Jillian proclaimed, “Ed is not deceiving me! Ed is not pulling the wool over my eyes!” Ed also dismissed the allegations saying, “We’re clearly being targeted because we are happy.”
Jillian really didn’t seem to think anything of all these rumors. She completely brushed them off, and then stated, “This is the last time I’m talking about this.”
What do you think? Good Morning America had a lot of evidence: emails, texts, photos, interviews! Let’s just hope Jillian is right.
