It sure would be nice to have a family for turkey day! Will you adopt me? Hi my name is Betty, I am about 10 months old and I weigh 40 lbs. I think I am mostly a yellow lab (gorgeous, huh?), but the nice lady that runs the shelter, Rea Cord, thinks I may have a little bit of greyhound in me. That would explain my regal nature, I guess.

Being as sweet as I am, I just don’t see how anyone could resist my natural charm, but here I sit, waiting for my forever family to come whisk me away. It is a mystery to me, I’m so loving, a great dog, and would make a loyal companion, why am I still here?

But, I think my forever family is reading this right now, and I will have a new home and lots of people to love before Thanksgiving. Maybe they have another doggie I could play with, I’d like that. Mm mmm mmm, I can smell the turkey cooking now.

Well, since I am confident I will have a new home before Turkey Day, I will wait patiently for my new family to get the house ready for my arrival. In the mean time, I will be dreaming of turkey, and my great new forever family!

See ya’ soon!!
Love,

P.S. While you’re shopping, a new bone would be nice, and I don’t really have to have my own bed, save the money, I can just sleep with you!

Turkey, turkey, turkey, it's almost turkey!
