I'm so cute, you can't resist me!

Each week, on Tuesday, you will find the "Pet of the Week", with a short biography of the pet, and the news letter, from the Elmore County Humane Society. If anyone would like to adopt the pet featured on this page, or search the many available pets, please click any blue highlighted words to direct you to the Elmore County Humane Societies website. Make sure you check each week, you never know when you will find your forever friend.

I'm ready to go to my forever home!

 Hi, I'm Bonnie

I am a possible Beagle/Basset mix, girl of about 1 ½ years old, who came to the shelter with puppies and since they have found their homes, it is now my turn. My weight  is about 35 lbs and I am just as sweet as I can be. I am great with other dogs, heartworm negative, spayed, and I just want a family, who will love me, that I can call my very own.

The shelter's adoption fee is $85 for dogs(me) and $65 for  cats, and for all, $10 is added, if they have already gotten their rabies vaccinations, but you get the tag and certificate. These adoption fees cover the cost of the mandatory spay/neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming and a free health exam. To see me or any other of the great pets, come to the shelter at 255 Central Plank Road, Wetumpka, AL, 36092, call us at 334-567-3377 or go to our website at www.elmorehumane.com . We are open for adoptions Mon-Thu 10-4, Fri 10-5, Sat 9-3

We are going to be so happy together!

Looking to Thanksgiving the shelter and the Tails End Thrift Store will be closed on 27 & 28 November. The shelter and thrift store will be back open on Saturday the 29th but we will NOT be doing any pet adoptions at the Prattville PETsMART that day. We will however be doing a Supply Drive at the brand new Millbrook Tractor Supply (yes, they have lots of pet supplies) from 9 am – 1 pm on the 29th. So while that is a very busy day with the Thanksgiving holiday and the Iron Bowl, we hope everyone can make a quick morning stop at Tractor Supply to support not only our shelter but this great new store in Elmore County.
