Bobby Bright says you are an extremist that doesn't matter

What has happened to common sense? Common sense would tell you, that a group of elderly people, gathered in front of Congressman Bobby Bright’s office to protest Healthcare Reform, are NOT extremists.  Common sense would tell you that 250+ people gathered in front of the Capitol building in Montgomery, to hold their own Town Hall meeting, are NOT extremists.  Common sense would tell you, that the huge number of constituents wanting an audience with their State Representative in the Second Congressional District, could easily sway an election in the future, extremist or NOT. Apparently your State Representative doesn’t care. Apparently, we don’t matter. (read an article by SSI President Lawrence A. Hunter)

Unfortunately, the last part was a quote by Mr. Bright, on a radio interview on WWNT Radio, Dothan, (click here to listen to the interview click on Bright82709) the day before the Town Hall meeting in Montgomery, on Friday.  He only wants to talk to the people that MATTER!!  Do his constituents matter? Do you matter?  How about your parents, sisters, brothers, co-workers, church members? Which of these groups doesn’t matter?  Apparently anyone who disagrees with Mr. Bright, or holds his feet to the fire, or tries to get a STRAIGHT answer, instead of the run-around, doesn’t matter!  How arrogant can you be, Mr. Bright?  How dare you say that half of your constituents don’t matter, who do you think put you in office?  Who do you think can remove you from office?  You better straighten up and fly right, because you CAN be replaced, keep that in mind as you handle the business of the Second Congressional District, and remember that  we are your employers. Our voice and choice matters!  Our vote matters, what we believe matters, what we want from Congress, matters.  We matter and we will not be shoved in a corner and called extremists, because you want to dodge our questions, and dance around the issues.  We will NOT be silenced, and we WILL replace you, so enjoy your one term, Mr. Bright, it will be your last.
