April 15, 2009 has, in the past, only laid claim to fame by way of taxes. This past Wednesday changed that perception. The day will go down in history as the day right wing extremists and subversives gathered in protest against a benign government and administration. An uprising and possible revolution seem inevitable, and the government is bracing themselves for the worst.
That is, if you consider everyday Americans, extremists and subversives. According to the report by the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napalitano states anyone exercising their right to free speech could be considered a right wing extremist. Even American Veterans are named in this report, yes, the brave souls that fought for Janets right to say such unabashed crap. Excuse the French, (what we might have been speaking, if not for our Veterans.)
In actuality, the protests organized and carried out on tax day, were anything but extreme. With the reported 300,000 people gathered to show solidarity against a government gone crazy, you would expect a least one incident among them. A trash can tossed (like Libs did at the Republican National Convention), a store window broken, a car turned over? Nothing? Not one thing? Nope, nothing happened except peaceful, law-abiding citizens joining together to fight what they consider government greed and corruption.
Oh, there was an incident in D.C., the White House did have to lock down for a time . . . the front lawn was assaulted with a box of tea. Boy, those right wing extremists will stop at nothing, huh? Bunch of scallywags!
