Just in time for the holidays, you can get a cute clutch and help out a good cause by picking up a handbag from designer Kellee Peer of K. Peer Designs. A new cart, opening Nov. 20 at Town Square, will carry her Clutch for Cures collection, six purses featuring a different Hollywood icon. With the purchase of each purse, a $10 donation will be made to one of six charitable causes.
The Audrey Hepburn Clutch helps out the Colon Cancer Alliance. The Marilyn Monroe Clutch benefits the International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression. The Clara Bow Clutch helps the Family Violence Prevention Fund. The Bette Davis Clutch funds the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund. Purchases of the Grace Kelly Clutch fund the National Foster Parent Association. And the Sara Jane Clutch helps out the Foundation for a Smokefree America.
Kellee Peer found her inspiration in magazine clutches from the 1960s. Each magazine cover is printed on laminated paper protected by a clear acrylic cover. You can even swap out the vintage-inspired magazine cover for your own favorite. The handbags, which convert from a clutch to a wristlet to a short chain handle, retail for $120.
