Squidoo or Hubpages? Which one should you use? Well the short answer is both, but there are some significant differences between the two. In summary here are some of the differences between them:

Squidoo:

1. Pays you monthly based on the earnings from ads on your lenses and you can also give the money to a variety of charities.

2. Has a wider variety of modules for adding content than Hubpages. Some of the more popular modules they have that Hubpages does not have are:

Follow me on Twitter

Sticky Note

Big Arrow Link

Amazon Spotlight

Black Box

Popular Tweets

3. Does not allow lenses with MLM, network marketing or home business related keywords. They used to allow these but they changed this recently. However, this does not mean you cannot promote your business of this kind, you just cannot create a lens where this is the main keyword.

4. Duplicate content is allowed although the more original the better.

5. They offer lots of blogs and training on how to use Squidoo.

Hubpages

1. No duplicate content.

2. Your pages get higher rankings if you have more hubs.

3. You can earn via Google Adsense as well as content ads and affiliate links although you cannot link to the same website more than twice per hub.

4. Nearly all keywords are allowed, although no spam hubs can be created. You must offer true value to the reader.

5. Limited types of modules, however, this does make it easier to use and clearer for the newbie.

6. I have found that there is less training but in a way it is easier to use so maybe it isn't necessary.
