Are you thinking about heading south to play golf this winter?

A Denver shipping and packing store is offering a great deal to send your golf clubs via Federal Express. Instead of hauling your clubs to and from the airport, Cherry Creek North shipping and packing business Send 'Em Packing will do the work for you. And with the baggage fees many of the airlines are charging, it's a no-fuss, no-muss alternative for golfing Coloradans who spend the winter in warmer climes.

Send 'Em Packing, located at 283 Columbine St. in Cherry Creek North, offers Federal Express shipping via ground ($65 each way), two-day ($121 each way) and overnight ($149 each way). Prices include shipping and packing of your clubs; insurance is $2 for each each additional $100 after the first $100. Prices are based on a standard 40-pound golf bag and clubs; shipping and packing large cart bags could cost more.

The beauty of the service is your clubs can be delivered to your winter residence, a hotel, business or golf club. No need to tote those heavy clubs from the airport and you can even get the return shipment set up before you leave.

You can reach Send 'Em Packing at 303-355-9136 or at shipthis@gmail.com. Store hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.
