Good news from the land of poking, linking, high school classmate finding, and compulsive status updating- Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg just announced that the company is planning to increase the size of their staff by 50% by the end of this year. Due to the current state of the economy he feels that "the best talent is easier to hire, because no one else is hiring."

 

Hear that, unemployed social network engineers? Not only does Facebook save long lost friendships, it may also help save our economy. Or the economy of Palo Alto...or something.
