When you open the door to Randy’s Steakhouse, you might think you’ve accidentally barged into someone’s historic Victorian mansion, but the hostess’ reassuring smile and greeting will quickly quell your fears.
The original wood floors creak beneath your feet as you're lead into one of their seven dining rooms – which range from a laid-back dining room to an elegant ballroom. The ambiance immediately makes you feel at home.
Randy picks out all of his produce, meat and seafood himself and the flavor of the food shows it. The crab cakes are sweet and meaty, with little breading and served with a delicious remoulade sauce. Fresh, high quality produce makes up the versatile salad offerings.
My favorite meal can be one of the pricier dishes on the menu – the Surf n’ Turf (market price), but I swear it will feed you for a week. Fresh, sweet lobsters are flown in from Australia, with weighing in at over two pounds. The accompanying filet mignon is tender, flavorful and is consistently cooked to perfection.
Randy’s flexible atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a nice dinner with friends, or an incredibly romantic evening with your partner. I recommend making reservations, but you should get there early to enjoy a cocktail in the sexy piano lounge before dinner.
Appetizers are priced from $10 - $12; Entrees are upwards of $19.95; Sides are $5.95 and up.
