Find out more about Carol:

Carol has spent most of her life exploring her creative side. From making houses out of matchsticks in camp, to cherishing her favorite decorated Easter egg far beyond its shelf life, Carol has a penchant for all things handmade. She has done her share of creative scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, but is now focusing much of her talents (and disposable income) on jewelry making and decorative glass fusing.

Plastic bag crafting - fun for the environment

Now, I'm not advocating the use of plastic bags.  As a matter of fact, I tote my own bags to the grocery store -- most times.  There are times when I stop at the drug store, or I need to stop on the way home, and I realize that I have left my reusables at home.  I do collect the plastic bags, and I do bring them back to the grocery store to recycle.  But I thought there has to be something "creative" that can be done with them.

I've found some great ideas on the web, with what you can do with those mounds of plastic.

From fusing the bags into a "fabric" that you can create your own tote bags, to making an apron, or even knitting plastic bag "yarn" into a plastic bag tote.  Grab your plastic and get crafting!
