If you enjoy holiday baking and candy making, consider using after-Halloween candy sales for supplying your chocolate chips for holiday baking. Since chocolate (and nuts) tend to be the most expensive ingredients in holiday baking, sales coupled with coupons make chocolate candies a great way to maximize the baking budget.

Instead of milk chocolate chips, Halloween (and Easter) candy can be chopped, then frozen until needed. Miniature candy bars can also be used. They are perfect for recipes such as Candy Bar Cookies and Heavenly Candy Bar Cake.

Not a baker? Chopped chocolate from these sales also make great pudding or ice cream toppings or stir-ins, as well as unique sprinkles on top of iced cupcakes.
