What is NANOWRIMO? It's  National Novel Writing Month - 30 days and nights of literary abandon! Despite or maybe because of the upcoming Holiday Season, this is the time to write. So, if you think you have a novel in you - this is an ideal time to get it out!

We are excited here in Chicago. In fact, the Chicago liaison people put together a kickoff party downtown that has more than 130 rsvp's! That's more than New York or any other region!

Here's essentially how it works:
"On November 1, begin writing your novel. Your goal is to write a 50,000-word novel by midnight, local time, on November 30th. You write on your own computer, using whatever software you prefer."

So the countdown is on!
