After trying to stay out of the limelight regarding the situation, Rihanna now speaks out about what happened with her and Chris Brown.
There seems to be a lot of Rihanna backlash these days. Not just because of her new album but because Rihanna has finally broken her silence regarding her beating by ex- Chris Brown and skeptics are questioning her motives.
Rihanna has recently opened up to Glamour magazine and then Thursday and Friday on Good Morning America and 20/20!
Many wonder why Rihanna waited until now and did not address the Chris Brown beating 8 months ago. (Not that she should have to address it at all).
Rihanna tells Glamour: “I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”
It would be great for Rihanna to be a voice and be able to help battered women with her experience but we cannot help but wonder if the timing is all wrong.
Everyone knows Rihanna has an album (Rated R) to promote. Was this intentional? Rihanna keeping her silence until the album drops?
If this was pre-meditated does take away from the importance of domestic violence?
Rihanna is adored by her fans and they hope this is not true.
