Scott Pioli interviewed with the Kansas City Chiefs for their vacant GM position Monday.
Carl Peterson, who had been the Chiefs’ president and GM for 20 years, resigned back in December. Since then, the Kansas City fans have been doing their best to court the Patriots’ vice president of player personnel.
You could see it at their last home game.
Throughout the sea of red were signs calling for the hiring of Scott Pioli.
The fans in Kansas City are apparently smarter than the ownership in Cleveland.
Chiefs' owner Clark Hunt is good friends with Jonathan Kraft, so I’m sure he already knows just how good Pioli is.
If Pioli were to be hired in Kansas City, Herm Edwards would be lucky to make it through Pioli’s press conference. Which, according to Peter King, is what Edwards wants anyway.
Someone fire the guy already!
Pioli's hiring would probably make Josh McDaniels a prime candidate for the Chiefs’ head coaching position.
But, we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
