Tom Brady just continues to pile up the hardware. The NFL announced on Thursday that he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of October.
Brady has already been selected AFC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season. This is the third time in his career that he’s taken home an AFC Player of the Month award.
Brady was just plain ridiculous in the month of October. He completed 92 of 131 passes (70.2 percent). He threw for 1,161 yards. His touchdown to interception ratio was an inhuman 6-1 (12 touchdowns to only 2 interceptions).
Brady has always loved the month of October, but he’s been especially good during the last couple of seasons. Since 2006, Brady is 12-1 in games played in October. He’s throws 42 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions.
Seriously, 42 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 13 October games.
The funny thing is, people are still saying Brady’s not 100-percent. The Titans game aside, people around here don’t seem to think Brady has looked all that Brady-like so far this season.
I’m not sure what these people expect out of a quarterback, but if you give me the October 2009 version of Tom Brady I’ll happily take my chances.
