Horse Progress days was started by men in the Amish community fifteen years ago, but is also useful for those who want to hobby farm with horses or just plain want to learn more about horse equipment. There will be displays and demonstrations of a complete line of the latest in horse drawn equipment. The field demonstrations complete with the equipment hooked to teams of horses or mules should be exciting to watch.

They will have demonstrations with spreaders, plows and tillers. Hay making, logging and breed demonstrations will be going on and seminars on horse conformation, horse health, gentle training, horse vs. tractor, controlled grazing as well as plowing and planting clinics.

Odon, Indiana is located about 100 miles south of Indianapolis and 75 northeast of Evansville, IN. The 2009 Horse Progress Days will be held at the Marvin Graber Farm, (9450 E. 800 N. Odon, Indiana) in an area surrounded by Amish Farms. From SR 231 of Bloomfield you will pass SR 58 to Odon and travel another 5 miles approximately to 800 S. and turn west. There should be signs once you are off of the highway.
