I forgot how much I liked this country....it is a hockey writer's dream.  No more NFL garbage, it is hockey, hockey, hockey news 24/7 here.  So here's the quick buzz this morning before I venture out into chilly Montreal.

* Crosby misses his second All Star Game.  The good thing about Canadian news is that they will take a shot at everyone including the league's favorite son, Sidney Crosby.  The buss is that Crosby is missing his second straight ASG with a knee injury.  Per league rules, if a player doesn't play in the ASG he must have missed the last game prior to, or the first game after the ASG.  Crosby played in the last game before the break, so the question will be whether or not the league looks the other way when the game is over.  There is a general feeling that hurt knee or not, Crosby needs to be in Montreal even if he doesn't play.  We'll see if he shows up.

*Vinny LeCavalier should be the guys everyone wants to talk to this afternoon when the players meet the media.  Rumors abound about him being traded to the Habs.

Don't look to Price or Luongo to participate in the skills competition.

That's it for this morning check in all day for more updates and notes.
