Every Wednesday the National Generation Y column features a Web site with appeal to Gen Y’rs. These sites will range from the very practical and very useful to the very ridiculous and very big time waster. Share your favorite sites by emailing me or @messaging me on Twitter.

Today’s Web site: A Place Between Us

If there’s one thing Gen Y definitely is, it’s connected. Our connections usually span far distances--across town in our own cities or across the globe. Actually getting together in person is sometimes a challenge. How do you determine a great central spot, especially if neither of you are familiar with the central area?

Of course there’s a Web site for this.

A Place Between Us allows you to find central locations effortlessly. Enter in your address and the address of your friend(s), A Place Between Us will calculate and list central locations. It even provides links to directions and reviews about the establishment.

The site defaults to central coffee shop locations, but you can enter other meeting locations such as restaurants and malls. You can get so granular as to enter types of food establishments such as Italian or Chinese.

You have a lot of friends, so you can enter as many addresses as you like and A Place Between Us will still do all the work to find a central place to meet up.
