Carpinteria based filmmaker Larry Nimmer just released his new documentary Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland. Nimmer filmed for Michael Jackson’s defense team during the 2005 child molestation trial. In this role Nimmer spent many hours roaming the estate, camera in hand, going where few people were ever allowed.
Now for the first time, the public has access to the virtual Neverland tour shot for the jury. Nimmer also included the Sheriff’s raid of the property, Jackson’s accusers allegations during a police inquiry, interviews with the jury foreman Paul Rodriguez and attorney Tom Mesereau, and the trial victory party in Las Vegas. The documentary shows what went on at Neverland and how the charges against Jackson were fabricated. If that isn’t enough, Nimmer just added messages to Jackson from his mourning fans.
Nimmer began his career in television news at CBS-TV affiliate KPIX-TV in San Francisco. He went on to produce music videos seen on MTV and documentaries shown on PBS. He has a variety of awards, including several Emmy nominations. Clips from the documentary, and an interview with Nimmer, was recently shown on CBS’s The Insider.
