Among the myriad responsibilities that come along with raising kids, creating a baby book isn’t usually on the top of the list of priorities. The time involved in taking the pictures, getting them printed, pasting them into a book and adding color commentary, is something a lot of parents simply don’t have. Many parents do indeed take the pictures, but have them sitting in their digital camera for months on end.

Now, thanks to the Internet, the entire process of creating a baby book has become a lot easier. There are lots of photo sharing sites out there, but I recently came across a great web site that provides that and much more. Keepaboo is a free resource for preserving memories of your children, documenting milestones and sharing these moments with friends and family.
With Keepaboo you can run a parent diary, create picture galleries, record important developmental milestones, track your child's growth, save memorable quotes, and more. And their newest feature is compiling all of this information into an actual book and having it printed and sent to you, what they call your baby’s “LifeBook.” You can also customize LifeBooks to center around a specific theme like your child’s birthday, holidays, first steps, etc. By simply uploading pictures from a digital camera and being creative with photo captions, the whole baby book process has been brought online and is a continual diary of events that you can add to at your leisure.
Another cool feature is the Keepaboo interactive timeline. The dynamic timeline keeps track of your child’s life, growth and development – each time anything is added to the site, it is automatically represented on the timeline.
Whether you have an hour a day or a couple minutes a month to dedicate to building your child’s gallery of photos online, the best part about Keepaboo is that the information will always be stored there and organized for you. So, ditch the guilt about not having a baby book and get those photos online. In no time, you’ll have a beautiful gallery of photos of your kids to gaze at and boast about to your friends and family.
