Malia and Sasha Obama get first Presidential perk at the White House – the Jonas Brothers!
The week just keeps getting better for Malia and Sasha Obama. First, they attended the ‘Kids’ Inaugural’ concert on Monday night and had Miley Cyrus dedicate a song to them. Then, their daddy became President of the United States of America. But to top it all off, young Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, had the biggest surprise yet on the first night at their new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
According to ABC News, White House ushers organized a scavenger hunt on the evening of the Inauguration for the Obama girls and their friends after they had a movie viewing of High School Musical and Bolt. While parents Barack and Michelle were celebrating in true style and attending 10 Inaugural balls of the evening, the girls were learning about the history of the White House while running around the Presidential palace, looking for clues. The White House ushers did something similar for Chelsea Clinton as well when she first arrived in 1993.
After searching for clues and running amok, the true surprise and treasure came at the end of the hunt when the Obama girls opened a door to find none other than the Jonas Brothers standing there! Nick, Joe and Kevin, in the flesh - again, a mere day after the girls were on stage with them at the 'Kids' Inaugural' concert. As another dream come true for the girls, they must have quickly eased into their role as Presidential kids. And after a week like this, they will soon realize that there are many more perks to come.
