Actress Mandy Musgrave, of “South of Nowhere” fame, announced on her Twitter account that she has been cast as a lesbian on “90210.”
“It's true I booked a guest spot on 90210 ANOTHER wonderful Lezzy!!!! yaa,” Musgrave announced.
Musgrave will guest star as Alex, the ex-girlfriend of Gia (Rumer Willis), who wants to rekindle their old flame, according to AfterEllen.com. Gia, described as a punky lesbian who isn't afraid to speak her mind, works with the school paper, The Blaze, and has appeared in several episodes of season two.

Musgrave, who also starred as a lesbian, Ashley Davies, on "South of Nowhere," spoke about her upcoming role with AfterEllen.com.
“I am a little nervous, it's always strange going on another set that isn't ‘yours' - you can feel really out of place. But they have the same hairdresser who worked on ‘South of Nowhere,’ so I'm happy to work with him again,” said Musgrave in the online report.
And I'm so excited that I can play a lesbian again! I had so much fun on ‘South of Nowhere’ stepping out of myself for such a role. Whenever you have to do that, it makes work more challenging. And if you don't have a challenge, then what are you ‘working’ for? Plus, by playing a lesbian once again, I hope I will make the SON fans happy.”
"90210" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW network.
