One of this season's hottest trends, the jumpsuit is a bit intimedating to the non fashion adventurous, but a terrific dress alternative, and when done right absolutely current and chic.  Rompers, onesies, jumpsuits are available in a variety of fabrics like jersey knit, silk, cotton, and linen and can vary from strapless, tank-style, short-sleeved or long and can be shorts or pants.  Jersey knits are hardest to wear since the material can cling in unflattering ways and are best reserved for those blessed with few bumps and ripples.  When selecting an all-in-one piece ensure that the crotch of the bottoms don't hang too long, nor that is too tight around the "nether" regions as either scenario will ruin the entire look.  To create more shape and add a waist, cinch the suit with a skinny or wide belt and finish the look with a statement high heeled shoe. 

Accessories are very important to the jumpsuit since they are such a blank canvas to begin with.  Select oversized jewelry to really spice up the look.  For instance, with the linen, bisque hued onesie shown right, play up the natural fiber and overall appeal by piling wooden bangles on the arm, stick on some gold hoop earrings or go a little funkier with feathers hanging from the lobes.  Necklaces should not go unnoticed.  round brown baubles would be apropo or  try an extra-long chunky gold chain.  In the case of the black halter (right) choose bright colors like tuquoise, yellow, or fuschia to bring the look to its full potential.  Stay away from dinky pebble-like necklaces that cling to wire-like fibers.  Necklaces like that are generic and will not help to acheive high-fashion status.  For ideas see below.
