Draping is all at once casual, sophisticated and chic - all of which are main components of acheiving ultimate style.  This summer season, looser cotton and silk fabrics are a welcome change and help to stave away the heat waves that beat down on sunny afternoons.  Loose drape-y pieces are not only wonderful worn on their own, they are also fabulous layering pieces and therefore can be carried over into the coming seasons. The wonderful thing about these loose styles is that they can be worn and styled so many different ways.  For instance, for an ultra-casual pseudo-celeb look pair the look to the left with this season's must-have bottoms the cut off jean shorts and finish with flat gladiators, neutral toned oversized bangles and wooden earrings - don't forget the aviator sunglasses.  For a different look though, tuck the top into a high waist pencil skirt, cinch the waist with a wie snake skin belt and do flesh-toned pumps or platforms.

The charcoal silk dropped-waist top featured to the right looks absolutely fabulous as is - worn with comfy leggings.  Keep the look casual chic with black slip on flip flops and try some silver dangly earrings to close the entire deal.  This top isn't just successful with pants though.  Try this doozy with shorts too... First though change the shape of the top from dropped waist to natural waist and tie the bow tighter so that it appears right at the ribcage to show off the waist and throw on a pair of Bermuda shorts and a kitten-heeled silver sandal.  Remember the accessories... an armful of silver bangles, silver button earrings, and ray combatting huge black sunglasses.

The sleeveless sweater left is fabulous on it's own or layered.  This summer, throw this stylish sweater over a prim sundress to add some edge (and warmth - should you need it) or over a bo-ho maxi dress to add some interest.  Remember to cinch the waist with a belt like shown.  To wear it alone - successfully - pair this hoodie with this season's fabulous ripped up denim - white is a good option here and finish with a studded sandal a la Balmain.
