The funeral for Farrah Fawcett will be held this afternoon in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels in downtown L.A., and her imprisoned son, Redmond O'Neal, has been granted permission to be there.
The service will reportedly be a private afffair, although the Charlie's Angels star will probably be in the minds of millions this afternoon. Fortunately for O'Neal, who is 24 years old, he will be able to say goodbye to his mother.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore informed the media that Redmond O'Neal, son of Farrah Fawcett with longtime partner Ryan O'Neal, will be allowed to wear civilian clothes as he attends the service, to which he will be accompanied by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. His presence had to be ordered by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, since O'Neal is serving time because of drug-related charges.
As has been apparent in the past few days, Farrah Fawcett will be in the heart of the world for a long, long time to come.
Goodbye, Angel.
