Like the spiraling Watergate scandal of the 70’s, the bumbling stumbling incompetence that surrounds the private prison controversy just got worse today.

Insiders say Sen. Coffee’s prison troubles are a result of his "own contrivance." They say he frankly needs to just gather himself and stop what appears to be a combination of "Nixon paranoia with Clinton double talk."

“That’s not a request by my office. That’s Justin Jones’ characterization of what he thinks I asked him to do.”

This will just feed the scandal-mania, and hamper getting anything worthwhile done this session. We’ll go out on a limb here: bet the house on a special session, costing time and taxpayer money. Is this what our Party has come to?
