The Da Vinci Code may or may not have been a good movie. Some people despised it, while others loved it. Either way you look at it, Dan Brown is still an amazing author (although, I'm sure someone could come up with ways to dispute that). Angels and Demons will be coming out this year, on May 15th. For those of you that haven't seen the most recent trailer for this film, I suggest you watch, as I have embedded it on this page. I'm much more partial to this book over The Da Vinci Code, so that might be why I'm more excited to see this than I was for Dan's previous book to screen. I'm sure that Ron Howard and company have learned any lessons from their previous attempt at a Dan Brown silver screen imagining, and will hopefully deliver with their second film.
If you weren't aware, Angels and Demons' plot evolves around the quest of fictional Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon to unravel the mysteries of a secret society called the Illuminati, and preclude a plot from annihilating the Vatican City using destructive antimatter. The story recounts the conflict between science and religion that brought the establishment of the Illuminati, and, after centuries of non-existence, the group is thought to have resurfaced for retribution against the Roman Catholic Church.
