Destination Spa Miraval Resort.

Great news: There's a spa for everyone... ya, I'm lookin' at you!

But where to go if you're not in-the- know? Here are the six main types; see which one suits you.

Destination Spa

This is the creme de la creme of spas. You'll pay the most, but will also experience the best of all worlds. Destination spas such as Oprah Winfrey's fav Miraval Resort near Tucson, Arizona usually offer multi-day and week long programs designed to meet your specific needs that can range from holistic healing, weight-loss or good old fashioned rest and relaxation.

Typical Price: $400 per night and up (and up and up and up).

Resort spa

When you want to get away, but don't want to fly, sometimes your local resort or hotel spa is the perfect fit. Resort spas typically provide a full menu of spa treatments and amenities, and more recently fitness facility as well. Resort spas are also a great way to super-size a regular vacation with the fam., hubbie or girlfriends into full-on a rejuvenation experience.

Typical Price: $200 per treatment, including tip.

Day spa

Sometimes a day spa in found in a salon, and sometimes they are free-standing. Either way the local day spa is a terrific way to combine value with escape. They offer a chance for quiet respite, often combined with a body or skin treatment that is hard-to-find. Day spas also are among the best places to catch great specials, and you can bet your buffed bottom that I will post all of them here.

Typical Price: $100 per treatment.

Medi Spa

Head to the medical spa when you need some serious help. They combine medical and aesthetic services that range from Botox, to facials, laser treatments, surgeries, and more. But be forewarned, do not scrimp when it comes to these treatments. Do your research and find a reputable facility with a plethora of professionals on board. More on this topic to come. Don't miss it, sign up for free articles now.

Typical Price: $100 per treatment.

Club spa

Fitness enthusiasts need massage and body treatments to compliment their training. Fitness not-so-enthusiasts like me, need an incentive to go. Enter the club spa, an oasis of rest and relaxation that's where I already am, or at least should be. If you require regular, convenient spa treatments for whatever reason, this is the spa type for you.

Typical Price: $80 per treatment.

School

When you don't mind the wait or don't need the atmosphere, schools offer the best bang for your beauty treatment buck.

Typical Price: As low as $40 per treatment.
