Halo 3 Legendary Edition
As some of you may already know, a new program called Halo Waypoint launched yesterday on Xbox Live. Halo Waypoint is a free download (which they call "enlisting") for Live subscribers and acts as a means of connecting the story lines of the various Halo games together in one place to give them more of a unified feeling. It also has it's own awards and ranks called your "Career" which can be earned by unlocking various achievements in the different Halo games. In an attempt to boost interest in this new system, fans also will be able to unlock special avatar accessories and outfits through Waypoint after getting certain achievements. This works retroactively so if you enlist in Waypoint now, and already have all the achievements on Halo 3, for example, you would get the appropriate avatar goodies for doing so.
Perhaps the best part about enlisting in Halo Waypoint, however, will be the live streaming of full-episode previews of the new anime, Halo Legends. Starting Saturday, November 7th, the first episode of Halo Legends will be available for free exclusively through Halo Waypoint. This episode, titled "The Babysitter", will be the first of many streamed through Waypoint over the next couple of months. If for no other reason, enlisting in Waypoint is worth being able to watch these episodes. Below is the schedule of Halo Legends live stream events:
