The Man is in The House.

President Barack Obama's got celebrity status.

It's no wonder the nation's First Home is also in the spotlight. The president wouldn't have it any other way.

The White House, a home built largely by black slaves, gets a once over in CNN's "Inside the White House," a floor-by-floor and room-by-room tour of the First Family's 55,000 square foot mansion.

Said First Lady Michelle Obama during a question and answer period with school kids at Washington, D.C.'s Capital City Public Charter School, "There's a place where they make candy and chocolate. I have to keep my kids from going down there!..It's a nice house...It's kind of like a museum...Anybody can come to visit."

Take a peek. You know you want to.

For more information, ahem, on The House:

"First black president in The House" provides additional details about the history and inner workings of the White House.

Likewise, "White House 101" gives the scoop on the First Home.

The White House Historical Association goes back, way back to unearth the home's history.

We thought "Obama could use some 'career renter' moves" when he first moved to the nation's capital, but before he settled into the White House.

Click on "White House" and get The Home's "home" page for a daily dose of inside scoops.

Virtual tours are fine, but there's nothing like a real, live, in person White House Tour.

Said President Obama during the meet with kids at Capital City, "We have to be careful not to break things."
