It's Thursday night, work has been tough but you just closed a big contract so you're looking to celebrate. But in this economy, where should you go to have a good time? Enter Pulse Thursday at Howl at the Moon. Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio overlooking the Riverwalk, it's the place to be on Thursday nights.
No cover with a student ID (otherwise $5), and $1 Miller Lites, $2 Dos Equis, $3 Jaeger Bombs and well drinks are hard to beat if you're looking to have fun without breaking you wallet. If you’re with a big group of friends, family, or coworkers, try one of their signature Buckets. Available in five flavors, these cost about $30 but supply enough alcohol for up to six people so it evens out. It comes with extra-long straws so everyone can sit around the same table and drink out of it. Think of it as Howl at the Moon’s version of a campfire, everyone sitting in a circle while drinking and having fun, and enjoying each other’s company while listening to great music.
Consider the "World’s Greatest Rock ‘N’ Roll Dueling Piano Show," Howl at the Moon’s crowning jewel. Musicians will take your request (written on napkins with a little tip) from the 70s to current hits today. In all my nights there, I’ve heard music from Poison to Fleetwood Mac. If your ears are starting to ring a little, there is an outdoor patio where the music isn’t as loud, but still able to be heard. The line to get in usually gets really lengthy around 10:30pm, so try and get there far before then. Your Pulse never flat-lines at Howl at the Moon Thursdays.
