Every Thursday at Cowboys DanceHall is ladies night! Ladies won’t have to pay cover as long as you’re eighteen. Guys pay $7 at the door for those of age to drink. Normally, a cover charge annoys most people but since Cowboys is a dancehall with a bar; one can go and not drink, so paying cover is more understandable.
The drink specials, however, are for everyone. Well drinks, domestic longneck beers, and wine are $2.50 each. While $2.50 for a beer is personally pushing the limit, that same price for a cheap cocktail is great. While they might charge you more for more complex drinks like a Long Island Iced Tea or a Chocolate Martini, good ole whiskey and Coke will still be $2.50.
As for the music you’ll be listening to, their house band named Marty Heddin & the Country Blues will be playing. Country music (if it wasn’t obvious before) is their forte and they are most know for songs Tomorrow is Gone, I’ve Seen it All, and What’s a Man to Do. Of course, what would be country music without a little two-stepping? Good thing Cowboys boasts their “Texas sized dance floor” so plenty of couples can cut a rug at the same time. What if you don’t know how to two-step? Cowboys offers dance lessons every Thursday too, get there around 7pm and be ready for the lesson, then use what you learned in the class when the real party gets going later that night. The drink specials run all night so feel free to have one before the lesson and loosen up.
