9/9/9 will be a big day. You have to make the choice; sit on the couch playing rock band, listening to The Beatles' remastered album and eating Domino's pizza or head the theaters to see '9.'
In honor of 9/9/9, a date we will not see again for a long time, Domino's will be giving away $25 gift cards.
We have been waiting for more than 20 years, but the digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums are about to hit the shelves. Engineers have been working for the past four years at London's Abbey Road Studios. They have been working with cutting edge technology as well as vintage equipment. In a press release they explained the mix of old and new technology was in an effort to preserve "the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings." Each album will include the original track listings and artwork as well as expanded booklets including original and newly written liner notes and rare photos. The Beatles' 12 studio albums will be included in the rerelease as well as the Magical Mystery Tour and the Past Masters Vol. I and II, which will be packaged as a box set. All 14 discs will be available with DVDs of the documentaries in a stereo box set.
Also hitting stores is 'The Beatles: RockBand.' Rockband has dubbed the game as 'the world's leading music game meets the greatest band in history.' The song list spans the entire Beatles collection, 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' to 'Revolution.' This version of Rockband will offer new challenges for the player. While belting out your favorite Beatles tunes you will also be challenged to recreate the harmonies and vocal blend of the Beatles. There will also be custom-built models of the instruments to give you a more authentic feel.
If you feel like getting off the couch, head to you local theater to catch a showing of '9.'
