Adi Gelbart and daughter Eden

Four and a half months ago, tragedy struck a young Jewish family on O'ahu's Windward Coast.  Adi Gelbart and her family were not at home, thankfully, when fire ravaged their Waimanalo home - also home to the Honolulu Soap Company, the Gelbart family business.

The outpouring of kokua and love was miraculous, and well received - however, after much deliberation and soul searching, Adi has decided to sell the business:

 Aloha Dearest Customers and Friends,

After four wonderful and creative years of making homemade natural soaps and serving my customers and my community I have decided to stop production in order to dedicate my future years to raising my family. As such I have put up for sale "The Honolulu Soap Company". For any inquiries, serious only, please get in touch with me personally by email or telephone.

This is a family home based business that can generate an impressive monthly income. Make products twice a week and sell them at open markets three times a week.

Mahalo nui for all your wonderful support over the years. I hope that you may continue to find and shop for your favorite soaps and bath products with the future " Honolulu Soap Company ". Please check back here periodically for the re-opening date: www.HonoluluSoapCo.com

With Love and Aloha, Adi Cohen

It is in the spirit of helping others that this message was posted.  Let us keep Adi, her husband and daughter in our prayers.  "Zion will be redeemed through justice and her captives through charity."  May the Gelbarts - and all of the Jewish people - experience no more suffering and only know happiness herewith.
