Paul W.S. Anderson, the man behind Resident Evil, and Alien VS Predator, wants to make his next film Castlevania as producer. The film has hit some obstacles along the way. Film companies changed hands, the writer's strike, and now the new director will be James Wan (Saw, Dead Silence).

Paul still wanting it made said:

"James is doing a pass on the script to put himself into it with the tricks and the traps, which he is really good at. One of the things with ‘Castlevania’ is it’s not just about the creatures but the environment trying to get to you as well. I think he is a terrific choice because a key part of ‘Castlevania’ is the intensity of being trapped within the confines of the castle, and he’s shown with ‘Saw’ that he excels with intensity in confined spaces."

So as of now Simon Belmont might make it to the screen after a long hard road.

Slyvester Stallone's The Expendables is also coming. A character list can be found at moviehole. So many rumors about this flick are flying around it's hard to keep up. Ben Kingsley was in, then out as was Sandra Bullock. Others include Eric Roberts, Charisma Carpenter, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke. Jean Claude was offered a role and turned it down. Right now the cast does include Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Randy Couture. More cast can be found at IMDB,

Two cameos so far are involved as well. The governer of California himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and now the newly added cameo of Bruce Willis. Bruce said, “I’m waiting for a call from Sly about when we’re going to try and make that happen. I don’t know anything about my character yet, haven’t seen any pages yet, but I’m excited about it.”
