"Ugh Carrie, It's over. I am too pretty for you"So I love hearing when people get dumped; it makes my day a little easier to deal with. No I am not heartless…well I guess I am, but this just proves that celebrities are “just like us”. Now if my boyfriend ever dumped me via text or e-mail, I would spread rumors about him ranging from bed wetting to STDs, but that’s just my personal way.
The wonderful people at www.predicto.com have compiled a nice little list of celebrities who have been even more shallow and egotistical than before and have dumped their significant other via text. Predicto is this nifty little website and is the leading online entertainment mobile company. 1) I want 2 Divorce U: Granted this was the second divorce for Britney, but there was no ‘Oops’ in this text. Her relationship had become toxic and she wanted out and made it known loud and clear.....via her cellular key pad. Divorcing someone via text messaging trumps any and all text relationship break ups.
2) He’s Just Not That Into You...At All: In March 2006, Jessica Simpson was dumped via a fun and friendly text message by then boyfriend Adam Levine (of Maroon 5). Apparently he did mind spending everyday with the blonde beauty because he text her “Really busy. Need space.”
3) Let’s Just Be Friends: John Mayer tells Jennifer it’s time she goes back to what she does best....playing the role as a friend...via texting.
4) Not-So-Sly: Sylvester Stallone's1995 "fax-breakup" withAngie Everhart. And we recognize the difference between a cellular phone and a piece of paper, but in 1995 a fax was your go-to, save face, easy-way-out communication tool....we are guessing Rocky would have opted for a text if he had had the option.
5) XOXO Gossip Girl: Chace Crawford kicks Carrie Underwood to the corner before he cheats...via texting.
Ok so I love Chace Crawford and his sultry eyes and shaggy hair, but dude has some serious commitment issues. I would beat him down while singing Underwood’s hit “Before He Cheats”. I am violent and yes I take Prozac to control myself.
Britney I don’t blame. K-Fed not that much of a catch and he is set for life with those two adorable kids.
But my fave had to be Adam Levine’s line of “Really busy. Need space”. I think she got confused and tried to buy them a house with more space so they could be together…forever. I jest, I jest, I like Jessica Simpson.
As Valentine’s Day draws near, remember a breakup text may not cost as much as a box of candy and flowers, but it may land you in a heap of mess in the tabloids or on a list of biggest jerks on the planet.
