The firecrackers are being sold and the Discoteca signs are going up. If you will be in Panama on the 3rd and 4th of November, be prepared for a celebration that last for two full days.

November 3rd is Independence Day while the 4th is Flag Day. Parades, featuring marching and drumming school children who have been practicing for months and celebrations will be held in Panama City and throughout the Interior. Major office and most businesses will be closed for most of the week (as the 2nd is All Souls’ Day and Thursday, the 5th, will be a day of recovery). Make sure your hotel reservations are in place. Then go outside and enjoy the festivities!
