Often times when you check into a location on brightkite.com you want to give an exact location like "Target" or "JC Penney". However there are times when you are at home or a friends house where you might want to be either more discreat or have a little fun with it. Luckily brightkite allows its user to creat custom location names.

As you can see in the image above, I'm currently checked into iCorey Central. This is my house. But how did I get that? It is easy. All you need to do is type in an address {Street name, City, and State} then use Square Brackets "[ ]" for your custome name like below.

Now all you need to do is search and your custom named location is all set. Remember to save this as a placemark too, otherwise you will have to do this exact search over and over again, every time you need it.
