It really doesn't matter if you've heard of Broke-Ass Stuart, or not. He knows what the people want. To break it down, Broke-Ass Stuart is this really fun 20-something who cruises around SF and NYC and finds the worst and the best of the two cities and writes brutally honest reviews about it for his city guides. He basically just writes what everyone's thinking. I met B-A.S at IndieMart at Thee Parkside a couple months ago where he was selling his new guide for the "recession special" price of $10.
Anyways, he may know how to chat up a pretty lady, but he also knows how to do business. Together with Imeem (aka the better and faster version of myspace music) B-A.S is putting on his first indie hip-hop festival called Keys To The City. Four of the most talented West Coast indie hip-hop artists will be bringing it to the Independent. Check out Blu, U-N-I, Fashawn and SF local - Richie Cunning live at the Independent December 9th.
Check it out. Hit me back. Peace.
