A downtown tradition for years, B.C. Chicken & Ribs is a place that makes your tastebuds say, “give me a chicken kabob or give me death”. At this fast-food-done-Greek eatery, one can go away completely satisfied for less than $10.

The place itself is simplistic. Whether ordering to stay or take out, your meal is served on Styrofoam and drinks are serve yourself. If you eat in, the people watching is second-to-none given the location on the corner of 400 S. and State Street across from the City & County Building and the courthouse. However, the décor (including the swamp cooler sitting on a table) is less than appealing.

But, do not let the interior dissuade you, this is great food—hands down. Chicken or beef kabob plates are served with salad, delicious lemon-flavored rice and pita bread. Combo platters are available for even bigger eaters or add a side of B.C. seasoned potatoes to any item. Succulent rotisserie chickens (or portions of) and ribs are also well-seasoned and served in generous amounts. Dolmades, gyros and moussaka round out the Greek offerings and sandwiches, fajitas and quiche are also on the menu so everyone can find something they like.

Simple, hearty and extremely good food is what you will find at B.C. Chicken & Ribs.
