In front of a roaring crowd of 10,815 the Wolves finally pushed themselves to their full potential. Facing the division's leading team, the Milwaukee Admirals, they came out and really gave it everything they had to come out on top with a 2-1 win.
Matt Anderson and Jordan LaVallee each dished out a goal for the win, but that doesn't go to say it was anywhere near what I would consider a good game in some ways.
The Wolves had far too many penalties that really could have been avoided. I don't think the calls were fair in some cases but when you think about it, many calls in pro sports are very questionable from the fans point of view.
One thing I can say is the checks and hard hits were not in short supply on the Wolves side this game. I have not seen them come out with that much aggression at all this year until now. I may have seen games that impressed me prior to this one, but they really came out and blew all of those games out of the water with this one.
Now having taken 5 straight at home the Wolves are only 13 points out of first, which means there are only six and a half wins away from taking their first place spot back!
Tonight they are playing former teammate Jesse Schultz and his new team, the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena
