Brett Skinner

Finally the Wolves are back on track and awake on the ice. The team I saw beat the rival Ice Hogs last night was a team I have not seen for a while; but have been desperately waiting for.

The guys were completing passes, taking those shots they have been too afraid to take, and most of all, playing with heart and aggression.

Last night's win brings them to a now two game winning streak. The first of those two games, played against the Toronto Marlies, was won in an overtime shootout.

My main focus though at this time is not the fact that the team is winning, but how they are doing it. It seems as though ever since the roster was shaken up with the newest member, Brett Skinner, the team has their old love for the game back.

Skinner, formerly of the NHL New York Islanders, is an overall amazing player from what I have seen so far. He has posted goals in both games he has played in, and helped win, with the Wolves.

He is a team player and knows when and where to have that puck in order to get results. If he stays here in Chicago I think he will definitely keep the Wolves on the winning track.

Tonight, the Wolves will face the Quad City Flames at home in Allstate Arena. Yours truly will be there in section 110 behind Quad City's bench!
