So far you have relearned flirting and foreplay outside of the bedroom, the benefits of going out on a date, you were given tips on how to disagree and not fight angry and you read about how pet names and secret codes can create security and longevity in your relationship. If you haven’t read these please make sure you read “tips 10 through 7”
Without further ado, I give you tip number six in making your relationship hot and sexy…
Find a new hobby together or revitalize a hobby that you have stopped doing
As relationships age people learn and grow, their interests change, and sometimes they grow apart. Spice things up and reignite passions by finding something new in common together. This sounds like a simple task but you or your partner may not be open to changes in your life or taking on a new challenge. Here are some suggestions to help get things going. Pick something from this list that you and your partner are not doing together.
• Start working out together. Exercise releases energy and endorphins into your system. It also helps you feel healthier, lose weight, and increase stamina. Start simple like going for a nightly walk together and work yourself up to more difficult activities like hiking a mountain.
• Look at your relationship’s past. Are there things you did before but have stopped doing them? Why did you stop? Perhaps this is something you both can take up again.
• When you enter into a relationship you and your partner sometimes give things up that you once did before. If those were healthy activities perhaps you both can chose to start one of these up again.
• If none of the above examples work look at your group of friends. Do any of them do something that would be an interesting hobby you and your partner might enjoy trying?
• Pick up the Sunday paper or local magazine and look at the entertainment/life section. Go through this with your partner and pick something new for you to try.
Learning something new together can be very sexy and add hotness to your relationship. My sister wanted to start a cooking class. Her and her partner decided to do this together to spice things up. The act of learning stimulated their minds and the fun fantasies they played out made the learning spicy. They also strengthened their self esteem through positive affirmation and successful learning. To add more spice to the relationship they rewarded each other with regular rewards and also intimate rewards.
Important things to keep in mind when choosing a new interest:
• Choose something you both will enjoy
• Pick something a little challenging for both of you
• Really get into what you are learning together
• Make sure what you choose will require you to spend time together
Your daily assignment is to find a new hobby that you both can do together. Hopefully this will bring a little spiciness into your relationship.
