Warner Music’s Central Europe division leaked the track listing for the score CD to the upcoming Transformers sequel,
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Handling composition duties once again is Steve Jablonsky.
According to the website, the track listing consists of:
1. Prime
2. Einstein's Wrong
3. NEST (Contains instrumental excerpt from "New Divide" by Linkin Park)
4. The Shard
5. The Fallen
6. Infinite White
7. Heed Our Warning
8. The Fallen's Arrival
9. Tomb of The Primes
10. Forest Battle
11. Precious Cargo
12. Matrix of Leadership
13. I Claim Your Sun
14. I Rise, You Fall
Judging by the track titles, it would appear that the new movie contains many more elements previously established in the 1980s’ cartoon mythology. Let’s hope this one doesn’t go out-of-print as quickly as the 2007 score (which currently fetches in upwards of $80 on the secondary market).
The score is slated for release through Reprise Records on June 23.
In related news, Cheap Trick recently uploaded an audio track for their contribution to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack to YouTube [see bottom to listen]. The song, “Transformers: The Fallen Remix”, sounds like a modern expansion on the original cartoon theme song, which features repetition of the classic line, “Transformers! More than meets the eye!” However, this version sounds more like a pop anthem (akin to traditional Cheap Trick fare) than the Moby-meets-Tangerine Dream rendition by Mutemath on the 2007 movie soundtrack or the adrenaline-frothing, power metal headbanger by Lion on the 1986 animated film soundtrack.
The track listing for the official Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie soundtrack rounds out as follows:
1. Linkin Park “New Divide”
2. Green Day “21 Guns”
3. Cavo “Let It Go”
4. Taking Back Sunday “Capital M-E”
5. The Fray “Never Say Never”
6. Nickelback “Burn It To The Ground”
7. The Used “Burning Down The House”
8. Theory Of A Deadman “Not Meant To Be”
9. The All-American Rejects “Real World”
10. Hoobastank “Don’t Think I Love”
11. Staind “This Is It”
12. Avenged Sevenfold “Almost Easy”
13. Cheap Trick “Transformers™ The Fallen Remix”
This, too, is released on June 23. The first single from the album, Linkin Park’s “New Divide” is already making the rounds in media-land. The movie opens nationwide on June 24.
