Zak trying to provoke spirits with a gun (Photo TravelChannel.com)

This week the trio of Nick, Zak and Aaron are investigating Tombstone, Arizona. They are going to check out the Bird Cage Theatre. The walls and floors of the Bird Cage have over 140 bullet holes confirming it was one of most wicked night spots in the old west. There was 16 gunfights and 26 men lost their lives. It’s said that even the prostitutes who used to work there may even haunt the place, that these female spirits even will touch men in ways that would have been normal for the business they did. The Bird Cage is home to a poker table where the longest poke game in history ever took place. The game was played 24/7 for 8 years, 5 months and 3 days with a thousand dollar buy-in.

Before going into lockdown in the Bird Cage, the guys took part in a gunfight re-enactment in the O.K. Corral. The guys hoped doing this would possibly stir up the spirits even more. Inside the bird cage is a hearse that was used in Tombstone, where supposedly the city had a cowboy each day for breakfast. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when 3 guys are locked down in the Bird Cage, a place where supposedly 3500 prostitutes worked, a place that brutal gunfights took place and lives were lost.

This time the crew setup a base camp and decided that they would do some live surveillance. Monitors were setup so they would be able to watch their static cameras to see if they were catching anything right then and there instead of having to wait until later when they reviewed the tapes. They decided on this due to the fact that there are reports of lots of apparitions throughout the entire place.

Zak fired off some blanks in a revolver in the one room to try to draw out spirits and a man’s voice was heard behind Aaron. Zak continued to fire off a few more shots in random directions in the room. They started to hear a weird sound coming from the hearse. They thought they heard a tapping coming from the photos of the soiled doves (the females who worked at the Bird Cage). Zak was focusing on one picture he believed might have been the female spirit and suddenly saw a female face behind Aaron. They continued hearing noises as they tried to provoke the spirit of Caleb using a silver dollar.

They headed back to their base camp where Aaron was going to do the live surveillance. Nick and Zak were going to head to the poker room and play a poker game and try to stir up the spirits. The guys were hearing a male’s voice as they sat at the table along with hearing a female’s scream. They set up more props, glasses of whiskey and a cigar, to try and get something to happen. They even began to hear footsteps. Zak at one point turned his revolver so that it was pointing at himself and they managed to catch a voice saying come here. They began hearing more voices as they stayed in the poker room. It appeared that their decision to use prop guns was helping to provoke and bring out the spirits.

Zak and Nick went back to the base camp and decided to send Aaron to the one room by himself. Aaron was sent into the stage coach room by himself to try and make contact with Caleb. While being under the hearse Aaron felt something tug on his shirt and that was enough to make him want to leave the room. He went back to base camp where the 3 guys took part in live surveillance. They managed to catch some strange sounds in a few rooms, a light at the craps table and even what sounded like cards being shuffled in the poker room. Finally they were let out of lockdown. Be sure to tune in next week Friday at 9 on the Travel Channel as they investigate yet another haunted location.
