Matt (Meathead as Rashad likes to call him) is further causing the coaches to scratch their heads about him. First he spilled information to the other team about the fight match-ups. And now he’s wanting to get a cortisone shot in his shoulder. Although his hurt shoulder might be something Rampage needs since his team is now down 4 loses. Coaching is definitely starting to look like it’s not something that Rampage was meant to do.

As a coach you definitely have to wonder about a fighter who one minute is in so much pain that he wants to get a shot in his shoulder and the next he wants to fight. Matt seems to flip flop every other minute. It says something when a person asks if it’s sore or injured and he can’t even give a straight answer. An athlete should have no problem telling the difference between being injured and just being sore. Even Matt’s teammates are starting to think he’s faking and just trying to avoid fighting anyone tough. They already thought that about him after he told Team Rampage about the fight match-ups.

Rashad decided that this week’s fight is going to be Justin against Wes. Marcus wasn’t happy at all about it since he was hoping he was going to be the next to fight. It’s amazing how mad someone can get when they aren’t picked to fight. Sure waiting sucks but Marcus and others should remember they have to fight at some point. There is no moving into the next round without fighting.

The first round started with Justin rushing Wes and getting into a clench against the fence. It then turned into a brief foot stomping match. They broke the clench and Wes was able to deliver a nice punch and kick before Justin went in for a takedown. After a bit of scrambling Justin was able to work into a position to put Wes into a chokehold. After a bit the ref stopped the fight as Wes was out cold. Yet another win for Team Rashad.

Poor Rampage can’t seem to catch a break. He now knows that more than half of the fighters in the second round won’t be members from his team. Once again sadly though it was Rashad and his fellow coaches who went into the cage to check on Wes. As a Team Rampage fighter you have to be a bit ticked off that your own coaches basically pretend you don’t exist the minute you lose, that they don’t even come to see if you are okay or not. Each week adds more pressure to the remaining Team Rampage fighters to try and pull off that first win for their team. Check out The Ultimate Fighter next Wednesday at 10:00 PM on Spike TV to see if Team Rampage can pull off a win.
