Ryan O’Neal hit on daughter, Tatum O’Neal at funeral for Farrah Fawcett and son, Griffin speaks

It isn’t as if Ryan O’Neal hasn’t been accused of poor behavior in the past, he has had several altercations with his son, Griffin. However, it has been reported, and admitted to by Ryan, that Ryan O’Neal did in fact hit on his daughter, Tatum O’Neal. To his defense, however, many feel that Ryan was in shock during the funeral and point to that as an explanation for the bizarre encounter.

In a Vanity Fair interview that will be published in the September issue, Ryan O’Neal is quoted as saying, “I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me. I said, `You have a drink on you? You have a car?` She said, `Daddy, it`s me, Tatum!`"

Tatum O’Neal confirmed the incident when she spoke to Vanity Fair. She said, “It had been a few years since we`d seen each other, and he was always a ladies` man, a bon vivant. That`s my relationship with my father in a nutshell. Make of it what you will." Though Ryan O’Neal and his children have had public altercations and it’s been well known that they had an estranged relationship, the recent admission has stunned the public, as well as Farrah Fawcett fans nationwide.

The incident is added to a long list of strange behavior that has plagued Ryan O’Neal for several decades. In 2007, Ryan O’Neal allegedly fired a gun at his son, Griffin. Griffin O’Neal has made several accusations regarding his father Ryan’s relationship with Charlie’s Angels beauty, Farrah Fawcett. Farrah Fawcett lost her fight with cancer on June 25, 2009. Griffin O’Neal also spoke with Vanity Fair and is quoted as describing his father as, “…a narcissistic psychopath and a vulture presiding over a carcass.” The relationship between Griffin and Ryan had become so strained that Griffin was not invited to attend Farrah’s funeral.

Griffin and Tatum O’Neal were not Farrah Fawcett’s children. She and Ryan were never married, but Griffin referred to Farrah as more of a close friend than a step mother during an interview with Larry King. Redmond O’Neal is Farrah and Ryan’s only child together. He is currently in jail on charges stemming from drugs. When interviewed by Vanity Fair, Ryan O’Neal had this to say regarding his parenting, “"I don’t think I was supposed to be a father. Just look around at my work - they’re either in jail or they should be.” Ryan O’Neal is also quoted as saying, "I used to be in touch with my kids and I was miserable. And now I’m not in touch with them, and I’ve never been happier."

Griffin spoke with Larry King and described his relationship with Farrah Fawcett as well as explained his accusations against Ryan O’Neal.
